Clarity in the Pay Jungle

Your Pay Statement

At the University Hospital of Cologne, the salaries of employees covered by collective bargaining agreements are based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Public Sector of the German States (TV-L). Employees are specifically classified into pay grades, which are further subdivided into pay levels (Levels 1–6) based on qualifications and length of service. Promotion to a higher pay level generally occurs automatically as the length of service increases.
