Insight: Digital construction with augmented reality
The new Center for Metabolic Research (ZfS) at Cologne University Hospital is the first public healthcare building in North Rhine-Westphalia to be built and operated using Building Information Modeling (BIM). This technology allows you to access building data digitally during and after construction. For example, you can use augmented reality to see directly on site where the pipes run in the walls. Project manager Christian Steinkrüger takes you to the construction site in the video and explains how the BIM process is being used in the construction of the ZFS.
