Your Responsibilities as a Registered Nurse
Help That Arrives Immediately
You’ll play an active role in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, and—with a great deal of empathy—you’ll become the primary point of contact for patients. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your career in a variety of directions, such as intensive care, pediatric nursing, or oncology.
These are the requirements
Application for a Nursing Training Program
You have a (vocational) high school diploma, a secondary school diploma, or a junior high school diploma along with successfully completed vocational training and very good German language skills (at least B2). You are empathetic, responsible, and able to keep a clear head even in challenging situations.
Frequently Asked Questions / FAQ
Theory and practical sessions alternate. The theoretical portion takes place at our school for nursing professions. Here, for example, you’ll learn nursing techniques, practice advising patients and their families, and gain insights into the prevention of chronic diseases. Medicine and the economic context of nursing are also part of the curriculum.
Please feel free to apply using the online form, which you’ll find listed with all current apprenticeship openings. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications submitted by email. You can find more information about the application process—such as what documents we need from you— here.
This gives you the opportunity to shorten your nursing training to two years and receive financial support to bridge the gap between your previous salary and your training stipend. Since the School for Nursing Professions is AZAV-certified, you are eligible for funding from the Federal Employment Agency.
