Frequently asked questions / FAQ
OTA training lasts three years. Theory and practice alternate in blocks. In our clinic's own school on campus, 25 trainees learn in each training course, who grow together over time to form a real unit. The curriculum includes, for example: anatomy and physiology, pathology, surgery, surgical theory, hygiene and situations specific to the profession and operating theaters.
You will work in the many different operating theaters at the university hospital. For example, in cardiac surgery or orthopaedics. Good to know: During the practical training units, qualified practical instructors are always on hand to answer questions and guide you through your first steps in the profession.
