Intense from the very start: At the University Hospital, you can gradually take on exciting responsibilities. With highly specialized treatments, nine intensive care units plus the PACU and the Central Emergency Department, we offer you a wide variety of opportunities and many other benefits.
Salary of up to €5,770
Your salary in intensive care ranges from €4,390 to €5,770, depending on your qualifications. Plus annual bonuses, allowances, and incentives.
Intensive On-the-Job Training
Your assigned coworkers will train you for 4 weeks or longer. Scenario-based training and simulations will prepare you for all emergencies.
Up to 39 days of vacation
You’ll receive more than the statutory vacation entitlement, plus additional days off or financial compensation in accordance with our “Entlastung” collective bargaining agreement.
Free Continuing Education Courses
We offer continuing education and specialized training, a trainee program for specialists and managers, technical specializations, and a customized career path.
Flexible Work Hours
We always try to accommodate requests regarding work schedules. In our myShift app, you can also earn a little extra by taking on extra shifts.

With myShift, you can take on open shifts. The extra hours are paid at the regular rate plus a 30% bonus. Simply apply for the shift with a tap of your finger. We’ll then check whether your qualifications match the requirements and whether the extra hours, as listed on the schedule, comply with the Working Hours Act. If everything checks out, the shift will be assigned to you.
